The Invitation of the First Forum for Young Scholars of Chinese Tibetology (The First Announcement)

In order to deepen the academic dialogue and communication of Chinese young scholars in the field of Tibetology, Institute for Western Frontier Region of China of Shaanxi Normal University will hold "The New Materials, the New Perspective and China Tibetology " which is the first Forum for Young Scholars of Chinese Tibetology in October 2016, in Xi’an. This conference is aim to gather the excellent scholars in this field. We can speak out freely and provide new ideas.

Forum encourage to examine and explore some related problems of the Tibetology Research, with using new materials or from a new point of view; encourage to make the interdisciplinary research. We hope you participate in the forum, to promote the development of China Tibetology together. The required information is as follows:

1. The Topic of this Forum

1)              Tibetan studies from the perspective of Frontier science and Ethnology

2)              The policy and practice of the central government in the past dynasties

3)              Text Writing and understanding of Tibet in history

4)              Religion and society in Tibet

Thursday 20 October, Registration opens in the Academic Activities Center, Shaanxi Normal University.

Friday and Sunday 21-22 October, Panels at Chongyu Building, Shaanxi Normal University.

Sunday 23 October, Day of departure

4 ． The Others

Participants need to provide unpublished papers. Please send the receipt before 30 June to the forum contacts, and submit the whole paper before September 30. We will confirm the participant and send the formal invitation to you, according to the receipt before 30 July. During the forum, we will provide you meals and accommodation in Xi'an ; you need provide the round-trip transportation costs and other expenses.( If anything changes, we will keep you informed)
